The purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Act is to ensure that all Ontario workplaces are safe and healthy. The Act provides a legal framework and tools to help employers achieve this goal. It sets out the duties for all workplace parties. The purpose of this e-learning program is to educate employers on what they must do to comply with the health and safety requirements under the Act.
Please note that this program will provide an overview of the Industrial Establishments Regulation, however, it does not cover Molten Materials and Logging.
The Human Rights Code provides equal rights and opportunities without discrimination in areas such as employment, housing and services to everyone in Ontario. Employers are responsible to ensure that their workplace is free from discrimination and harassment. The purpose of this e-learning program is to educate participants on the employer obligations under the Code.
